Common questions.
Custom theme or premium theme?
Custom theme for brands where the storefront is the product. Premium themes (Dawn, Impulse, Empire) make sense for fast launches; we customize them heavily but build from scratch when the design demands it.
Hydrogen — when is it worth it?
When the storefront experience justifies the dev investment: custom interactions, complex product configurators, content-heavy commerce, blazing fast pages. For typical product-grid + product-detail stores, Liquid OS 2.0 is faster to build and easier to maintain.
Can you migrate from BigCommerce / Magento / WooCommerce?
Yes — full migration including products, customers, orders, URL preservation, redirects, and email template recreation. We typically do these in 4–8 weeks depending on catalog complexity.
Custom Shopify apps?
Yes — embedded apps in Remix, public listing apps, private/custom apps. We use Shopify CLI for scaffolding and Polaris for admin UI. Apps with subscription billing handled via Shopify Billing API.
Performance on Shopify?
We routinely take stores from 30s LCP to <2.5s. The recipe: audit and remove unused apps, slim the theme, lazy-load images and below-fold sections, remove third-party scripts, use Shopify's built-in CDN aggressively.
Shopify Plus features — Scripts, Functions, Flow?
Yes — we use Functions for new discount/cart/shipping/payment customizations. Flow for automation. Scripts only on legacy Plus stores still using them; new work goes to Functions.
How fast can a developer start?
